How to Refill the HP P1102W Printer Toner

I'm in college which means a few things:

• I'm going to be printing A LOT of papers
• I'm generally broke :(

So, I needed to print out some stuff for classes but like you could expect - my printer ran out of toner. Blah!

Well, I was being a bit frugal and decided to find a toner refill kit for the P1102W. I got one from TonerRefillKits.com which was pretty inexpensive compared to Staples. The kit looked a bit intimidating at first but I managed to successfully refill my toner. Here's how I did it ...

For about $35, I snagged up the P1102W refill kit and the toolkit used in refilling my toner cartridge model (picture on right).

There's a lot of little gizmos that come with all of this such as sticky plugs, a tool that heats up and is used for putting holes in the cartridge for refilling, wipes, screwdriver, pliers and the refill kit (of course).

I unpacked all of it and set it up on my desk for easy access.

The first part of the instructions says to plug in the tool kit.

At this time, I dug through the instructions which were helpful. Overall, I was sure I could do this seeing that I've built computers and worked on construction projects before - this wasn't intimidating, ha!

Here's how things went down ...

I was able to blaze through this pretty easy. A lot of the time was actually used waiting for the tool kit to heat up (which, keep your windows open, pro tip!).

The kit wasn't all that messy and got everything topped up.
